This site sat quiet for almost a year, but it’s officially back with maintenance! This revival isn’t just about posting more content - it’s a declaration of focus. Moving forward, DoMax.lt is changing from a static profile into a living timeline of my engineering journey.

Stepping Away to Build

So, where did I go? To be completely honest, it was a mix of intense schoolwork, deep-diving into code, and a bit of classic procrastination. I got so caught up in the hyper-focus loop of starting and completing new projects that I completely forgot I had a plan of documenting them. I hadn’t checked this site in months.

It actually was my dad who pointed out the silence. This put me back to the realization that I had been ignoring this site.

A Year Worth of Backlog

A lot can happen in a year. Ideas spark, code breaks, projects fail, and occasionally, things work beautifully. Over the last 12 months, a massive backlog of work has piled up - ranging from custom games to lightweight Linux distributions built from scratch.

I don’t only want to show off the polished end products though. I want to document the actual engineering struggles. Even if a roadblock is hyper-specific to a narrow field, writing down how I overcame it means someone else out there might learn from it too. Like the one guy on Reddit 12 years ago who was struggling with a specific issue I needed at the specific time.

Refactoring The Site Itself

Yes, the site is getting an upgrade alongside the content. While the visual identity will stay mostly intact, I’m working under the hood to implement some quality-of-life updates. I’m focusing on making the entire platform highly responsive, fixing some CSS layout quirks and refactoring the code to make it cleaner and more maintainable.

The Ultimate Devlog

Everything is officially back on track. My goal is for DoMax.lt to become my ultimate centralized database - a place to archive everything I build, share raw technical thoughts, and track my growth as a developer. From now on, the devlogs will become more human and more about the experience rather than only showing raw details. I will not modify the old content just for the sake of archiving and viewing how much I change as a person in the long run, and the difference should be obvious.
